Log your child's symptoms as they happen, so you can tell your pediatrician when each one started.
You can log several symptoms at once.
You don't need an account to log symptoms.
Log symptoms
- Open your child and tap Symptom in the bar at the bottom of the Activities tab.
If you don't see it, tap More.
- Tap Tap to select symptoms.
- Tick every symptom you see, for example Cough and Runny Nose.
Type in the search box to find one quickly.
- Tap Submit.
- Check the date and time.
They start at now, so change them if the symptoms started earlier.
- Add a Note if you like, for example "barking cough at night".
- Tap Save.
To record a temperature reading, log a Temperature instead of the Fever symptom, so the number shows on your charts and reports.
See How to log a temperature.
Add your own symptom
If a symptom isn't in the list, add it:
- On the symptom form, tap Add New Symptom.
- Enter its Name and tap Save.
Your own symptoms appear in the list for everyone caring for your children.
You need to be signed in to add one.
To rename or delete one of your own symptoms, open the list and tap the pencil icon next to it.
Deleting it removes it from the list, but past logs keep it.
Where symptoms show up
Fever Whiz only records symptoms.
It doesn't check them or give advice, so contact your pediatrician with any questions.
Troubleshooting
- "Please select at least one symptom first.": Tap Tap to select symptoms, tick at least one, and tap Submit.
- "You already have a symptom with this name": That symptom is already in the list.
Search for it instead of adding it again.
- Fever Whiz asks me to sign in when I tap Add New Symptom: Adding your own symptoms needs an account.
Sign in, or pick the closest symptom in the list and add a Note.
